Refund Policy

This policy covers hauler subscriptions and Featured placement on JunkScout, operated by [Legal business name]. Customer estimates are free; payments for jobs are made directly to the hauler and aren't covered by this policy.

1. Free trial

Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. A card is required at sign-up. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.

2. Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually.
• Fees for the current billing period are non-refundable.
• You can cancel any time, with no contract or penalty. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and your listing stays visible until then.
• Plan changes are prorated and charged when made.

3. Featured placement

Featured placement is a monthly add-on. The same rules apply: the current month isn't refundable, and it ends at the end of the paid month when you cancel it.

4. Credits

Lead guarantee credits, referral rewards and fake lead credits are account credits applied to future invoices. They have no cash value, can't be transferred and end when the account is closed.

5. Taxes

GST/HST, QST or PST is charged based on your billing address. When a refund is given, the matching taxes are refunded too.

6. Exceptions

We may give a refund at our discretion, for example if we made a billing error. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
